Recently I had a chance to visit Udaipur in Rajastan, it was one of the memorable trips of my life.
Udaipur is known as the city of lakes(and grand 5 star hotels, i must add:-)). We visited the city palace, took a boat ride in two of the lakes(one in the evening near city palace was fantastic).
We also went to shilpgram(showcases the rural Rajasthan - nice place to buy handicrafts) and to the city market(brought some really fine hand made Rajasthani paintings and bed covers). Not to mention the food which was quite amazing.
So that was my trip to Udaipur in brief. I had fun and now it is one of my favorite places in India.
